Who publishes this site?
Living in Malaysia (vivre-en-malaisie.com) is published by Grégory Lenfant, a French independent publisher specialised in practical relocation guides. He also runs the sister sites Vivre à Singapour and Vivre au Japon, built with the same editorial standards.
Our editorial method
Every guide is built by cross-checking three types of sources:
- ✔ Official Malaysian sources: Ministry of Tourism (MOTAC), Immigration Department (JIM), National Registration Department (JPN), Ministry of Health (MOH), Bank Negara Malaysia.
- ✔ Dated figures: whenever an amount or threshold is quoted, we state the reference year and the source.
- ✔ Feedback from the expat community in Malaysia, which flags changes on the ground.
Pages are reviewed and updated regularly. If you spot outdated information or a mistake, write to us — we fix things quickly.
